Problem with dns setting

    Hi,
We have been having lots of problems with dedicated servers and have moved to a new datacentre and with this latest server the setup is identical to all other servers and the server has now been rebuilt twice due to dns issues.

The latest rebuild was meant to rectify this but has not, the problem is any account added besides: demonised.org will not load and gives a "lame nameserver" response at dnsstuff.com.

I have checked all my zone files and checked the named.conf file and it looks to be ok by me but the sites are still refusing to load and reporting errors.

An example is my main site: ogdhosting.com

If anyone can provide any solutions or ideas of places to keep looking at please do and I know it look bad a web hosting company advertising for help but we have never had this issue before and can't find a solution anywhere.

    Drew.

    Your nameservers seems down.

When you start named do you get any error or are there any error in /var/log/messages regarding it?

If named is up you may want to look at your firewall

Check your domain by DNSREport if you ever got stuck in this problem again:)

Alot of the problems with the cpanel configuration have been put down to the 64bit os. Apparently the datacentre installed the wrong cpanel or something and the misconfiguration was due to incompatibility with 64bit os.

But all sorted now thankfully, yes will check dnsreport but i think it does the same as dnsstuff doesn't it?

Yes, the 64 bit OS are mostly incompatible with cPanel. cpanel crashes due to this, many times.
