Problem with DIV in FireFox and IE

    <div style="width: 250px; height: 225px; background-color: transparent; font-family: arial; font-size: 11px; font-weight: normal; font-style: normal;text-align: left; border-width: 1px; border-style: solid; border-color: black;overflow: auto; padding: 5px;">

    Is the code. I can get it to scroll fine and work fine in Opera, but not in FireFox or IE. They show up, but there is no scroll bar and some of the content doesnt display (anything that isnt a link). Anyone have ideas?

    Not enough info. The only thing that comes immediately to mind is that the inherited color is the same as the background color of the element under this div. The links show because they're probably blue instead of whatever.

    cheers,

    Both the div, and the element behind it are transparent, and the text is white. For some reason, the trasparency works fine in both opera and firefox, and ie.. but neither firefox nor ie will display the white text, or scroll. Just the (white) hyperlinks.

    There is more at work here than the posted source can reveal. Please post the source and a live link if possible.

    You don't really have your styles inline with the html, do you? That makes things incredibly difficult.

    cheers,

    And the html? Don't forget to indicate which div you mean.

    Try a Ctrl-A to see if the text is actually there. I.e. is the text not being displayed or is it simply the same color as the background. The selection higlight will show up such text.

    The selector

    body, td, li, p, div, textarea, li, h1, h2, p, br {color:black; font-family:
    terminal; font-size: 9px;}

    sets the text color for all divs to black. The background is whatever color the background images are. Or as set by inline CSS.

    Without the images and the Html it is impossible to say more.
