I'm using Nokia N73. I had the 1.5 version of Bolt browser and now I'm unable to delete it or update it to the new version. The problem is that it's not in the installed applications list in application manager, but still remains in the applications menu. I'm also able to open it but whenever I try to delete or install the new version, I'm very much annoyed by the messages, either 'unable to delete' or 'unable to install'. I think the problem is some backup files stored in the memory. I've file managers like Ybrowser, Explorer, File Explorer and LiteFTP with me. Is there any solution other than formatting the device? Hope all of you'll help so that it can be a help for others also facing the same problem.
Yup, simply go to System Files via the File Explorer and then delete everything which is there in the folder of this browser. And even if that doesn't works then Format your Mobile.
Thanks for your kind suggestion. But the fact is that there's no file or folder shown in any file explorer or manager with this name. I know it is because some stored backup in the device. If I got its location, I'd have been able to delete it.
Then go to System files of C/Drive in your Mobile. You can access it via the File Explorer software. - Mr.President -
use xplorer of lonely cat games and then open it go to c/data if u installed it in phone memory or go to e/system if u installed it to memory card
Thanks. But I couldn't find the file yet. Atleast, there's no file with name 'bolt'. Is there anyone who know where the symbian OS stores the read only files of installed applications and in which name and extension?
Get File explorer softwares for your Nokia mobile device. F Explorer, ActiveFile and Y browser are two applications compatible with Nokia 73. After that browse through your C folder to find entries created by BOLT browser and delete.
Thanks. I've those explorers with me and I searched for bolt, but couldn't find any file with that name. Do you know what will be the file names and extensions that bolt creates? Then I can search for them.
