I have a .de domain at godaddy and ran into some strange problems. When I set the DNS as usuall on godadday it fails and I get a notification email like this: Apparently for a .de domain I need to have two completely different DNS on 2 different network ie ns1.ahosting.com and ns2.ahosting.com wouldn't be working. What do I do now? .
That is not a strange problem, simply you cannot setup nameservers for .DE domains at GoDaddy. You need to leave secureserver.net as default nameservers and the open Total DNS control to introduce a couple of A records pointing to your hosting IP. That is the only way to make your DE domains works.
Hey, thanks for reply. What do I enter for "Host Name: " and for "Points to IP Address: "? And do I need 2 A records?
You can use two A records (@ and www) or alias the second This is how I have mine, just change the IP for that of your hosting provider
