    Hello,

I have moved my websites 2 days ago to a new, more powerful server:

    Intel Quad Core Q6600
8 GBFour 500 GB SATA, Hardware RAID
    CENTOS Enterprise 5.2
    Apache/1.3.41 (Unix) PHP/5.2.5

The problem is that Apache stops working at random times for no specific reason as far as I can see. In order to make it work again I have to restart it.
I don't think the server is overloaded because average load is under 3.

We have recompiled both Apache 1.3 and Apache 2 a number of times but we still encounter the same problem. Apache error log don't show anything that could cause this.

Here is a sample of Apache status:

Server uptime: 11 minutes 30 seconds
Total accesses: 54140 - Total Traffic: 487.8 MB
    CPU Usage: u417.85 s24.87 cu0 cs0 - 64.2% CPU load
    78.5 requests/sec - 0.7 MB/second - 9.2 kB/request
128 requests currently being processed, 3 idle servers

Any idea of what could be happening?

    Thanks
