The quickest way to deal with this problem was to refund the money quickly and delist the site from the directory. Arguments like this can lead to bad press online, as shown by the exchange here. I don't know if there is a website for Directory owners to blacklist submitters who cause problems. Because, I am sure there are people who try to scam multiple directories all the time by pulling semantic games. Do you really want the business of a customer who tries to destroy your business by trying to cut off your access to Pay Pal? Better to refund the money to get rid of the problem before it blossoms into the kind of mess no one needs.
Cool Zeb! I will do that. But I want to be fair also. If you have another directory, let me know. I have several sites I need to promote. You'll know it's me. The PapPal will be the same. Art
Is to welcome you to DP, enjoy your stay By the way thoughtful post by you, always welcome when posting unbiased, neutral posts
I think you both have a point here. Its probably best for Zeb to change the wording to avoid further confusion, although when submitting its clear that Zeb did have the right to move the listing. Perhaps don't allow submitted links to top level categories, that may help things.
Hi Art, Thats the only web directory I have at the moment. I will let you know when my new directory goes live. Thanks for doing business with me. Mods please close this thread.
Nice to see that this was resolved amicably - cheers to both of you for setting an example that hopefully more around here will follow.
Even noob know how to deal with such deals Very nice comments.... And nice to see the problem resolved.
Yip thats exactly it... dont stress the few bucks as after its all said and done youve wasted more time arguing then fixing and spending time moving stuff around just to get his dissatisfaction and possible problems with paypal. Sometime $20 bucks isnt worth it so just refund... thx malcolm
Don't devalue your directory for a few bucks. If the category does not fit, refund and delete. Ban the domain if the buyer is unreasonable.
