I am currently on the godaddy grid servers. A marketing firm wanted to give me banners to put up. When I put them up they worked for a while then when I tried to connect to the server I would get 'server not responding' Taking the ads off seemed to fix it. But would it be the server problem or would it be the advertisements, just banner code. Why would the ads show for so long then make connections fail. This makes no sense...Maybe try another server.
It's definitely the ads. Try hosting the images on your own server and linking to the affiliate page instead of using their specific code if that's possible. Otherwise contact them and tell them the ads are causing trouble.
Thanks. I just called it quits with those ads. I know godaddy really locks their system down, but wasn't sure. That is to bad they can't do more proper ads. Being down for a day cost me a lot of users.
