I just read this interesting blog entry titled, "Some Really Sobering Publisher AdSense Stats". In summary, the entry talks about the author's frustration about generating a meager $5 for each site embedded with AdSense. But what really caught my eye was this comment: That's a great idea... have you tried installing CrazyEgg on your AdSense site to see if you're getting credit for your clicks... CrazyEgg currently offers you one free campaign at: http://www.crazyegg.com Any thoughts?
i heard that url, but that time it was on beta test... but i am using mybloglog stats and am also surprised to see that am getting more clicks on ads, but on my accounts they showing me less one !
CrazyEgg is very, very cool -- but here's a warning... make sure to embed the CrazyEgg HTML tracking code BELOW the closing </body> tag of your webpage... embedding the code above the closing </body> tag risks your website from loading if CrazyEgg is down.
I *think* that CrazyEgg probably does not count clicks 100% accurately, just like Adlogger - it probably OVER count clicks (this is just an assumption, I have nothing to back this up for CrazyEgg, but Adlogger does overcount clicks) .. I do not think for one minute that Google is trying to "steal" our money. As for the sobering stats: It's true, many websites - probably the majority do not do very well when first starting. I've gotten many $5 Adsense payouts, but none of the 'big' payouts yet.. I think I need to start posting more tips in my blog to help these newcomers earn me more big payouts!
i agree with terabite. Crazyegg tracking mechanism could be lot similar to adlogger. hovering mouse clicks might be counted. in real life, you can't dispute adsense stats. I suggest use crazyegg for what its good at-heatmaps etc and dont bother to look into clicks etc
That's interesting how people trust Google... ... Google is the same company that admits it spies (or plans to spy on us) without permission. Check this out: http://www.technologyreview.com/Infotech/17354/page1/ What do you think about this?
