problem with adsense optimization

    One of my best search phrases is "adult bib patterns". The sum total of the words does not add up to the individual words.

    The adsense content these words bring is "adult content" and "baby bib content" Both are not of interest to people visiting my site.

    The ad content I really would like is attracted to words like "aging, senior, disability" Is there a way of redirecting the focus of the ads shown on my site?

    Did you try disabling the adult content option?

    If using a regular search box... check the 'SafeSearch' checkbox.
    If using AFS Ads-Only... set 'adsafe' to 'on' in your HTML code.

    Other than that, I would just manually hit Google and Yahoo with several diff variations of the search term to see which ones yields the best results.

    For the heck of it, I did a search on 'adult bib patterns' on my site (I use AFS Ads-only on the searchable dbase portion of my site with adsafe actually set to 'off' right now) and it resulted in the below. See pic.

    errr, maybe I am misreading your post... are you actually using a search box of some sort like one of the two mentioned??

    I have just disabled the adult content on my adsense account, which I hope will remove the dating sites. I'm also increasing the use of the words senior and aging to slant the content more in that direction, even though they are not highly used for searches.

    I have not yet tried a search box. I've just heard about them.

    Yes and it is working, the baby sites are gone, although it may have been a mistake, my clients may have liked baby sites after all.

    I seem to be getting less clicks, but I can't tell if it is because it is Christmas. My site is usually busier before and after holidays, but slow right on the holiday.

    I've also changed the way it looks. I have made the mistake of making too many changes at the same time. I can't tell which changes are having what effect. I'm going to have to sit on it until the middle of January to see what is going on then and start to make more subtle changes one at a time.

    If you see your google money working very well, I would not make any changes what so ever lol, I was making good money and clicks ahoy! until I changed it, now I am lucky if I get one click again lol. My advice is DO NOT CHANGE A THING IF YOU ARE MAKING MONEY, STICK TO IT PLEASE :eek:
