Problem with adding Images to WP blog

Discussion in 'Blogging' started by mytechiestuff, Nov 22, 2015.

I have a WP blog which was recently upgraded to WordPress 4.3.1 .

Since the upgrade I have not been able to add images within the text for new posts.

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you for your time.

    Have you tried this?
Go to your Admin Dashboard, Media->Add New. Upload the File. Then in the Post/Page editor, go to text:
    And manually enter it?

I know it is a cumbersome process but till you find a fix which may not be until the next update [or a faulty plugin], you might need to.

Are you getting any error message? Is the Pop-up to add a file appearing?

Most o the time this issue is happen due to conflict with plugins. Check out your plugins for the compatibility with latest version of WordPress.

Actually, many of my clients are also complaining to similar issues after upgrading to 4.3.1. There are few things which causes this issue and plugins is one of them.

I've been on 4.3.1 for weeks with several plugins and so far haven't encountered any issue.

    That is weird.

Try deactivating all of your plugins, and see if you can upload images then. If you are able to - then that means a plugin is causing the problem. What you will need to do from there is to activate your plugins one by one - while testing uploading images every time you activate a plugin.

Because you want to find out which plugin or plugins are causing the problem.

If it is not your plugins, then you probably have a major problem. And what you should do is Reset your entire WordPress installation.

What I recommend you to do, is to Backup your current Content. (blog posts and pages, etc) - and then Install a WordPress Reset Plugin.

Backup everything, and then Reset your WordPress installation with the plugin. Then, restore your content and see how it is from there :)

    I hope this helps!!
