Problem with adding a shadow on the template

I have the website articlespedia.org, but when i try to add a shadow to the main rapper, the shadow stops right after the header.
The main problem is that i have counted 103 open divs and 101 closed ones, so don't know exactly which div i have to close and where is it.
I have tried the validate html thingy but with no success, don't understand it very well.
Please help me in this matter, reputation point is being offered.
    Thank you.

If you are using image as shadow effect, the shadow image should be appropriate size and need proper positioning. You have not given your location of your site. Try refer some existing sites who used. You can also refer some PHP LD directory sites. I have seen many templates use the same.

The problem is not the size, the problem is the div's. THE SITE TO SEE THE PROBLEM IS: Articlespedia

I have added correctly the div id=shadow but it doesn't want to get pass the header, it stops on the featured and sidebar right height. I added it with repeat-y, and the original size of the shadow.png is 5 px in width, so the repeat works, just that as i said there is a div problem, 103 open and 101 closed, don't know where is missing.
