Problem with 5.1 surround audio on my PC

    I hope there are some PC audio experts in this forum :)

    The problem is that i somehow can not play the music in 5.1 surround.
    I have Intel Lemont motherboard with integrated sound card.
    I use Sigma Tel HD Audio Codec
    And IDT Audio Control Panel.
    IDT settings:

    I can test all four speakers and the subwoofer in the control panel, however in the volume controls i only see Left, Right and chanell 3 to 6, not like Front left, rear left etc.
    When i test it, everything's perfect- it plays the tone on each speaker properly, but the music is on plain 2 speakers and subwoofer.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Using WinAmp, Windows Media Player newest, Total video player, Nero Showtime, VLC- just about anything. I have them on my pc for usage, not for testing purposes :D
    Anyhow no player plays this in 5.1

    try using winamp but switch the output to directsound

    I tested different output settings, nothing helped
    I think its problem with drivers or other config, i just can not seem to understand why.
    Evey player played 5.1 with my old motherboard, i had the right drivers for those...
