Problem Verifying My Site With Google Webmaster Tools

    Hi there,

I went to verify my site with Google Webmaster Tools but I keep getting an error. I have uploaded the html file they asked me to create, and I can view it in my browser, but when I click verify it says:

When I clicked the link for more info it makes it appear like something is wrong with my website settings (and not that Google is having some kind of problem). Also I had verified another website of mine a few minutes before with no problems.

Any idea why I might be getting this error?

    Thanks for any help.

you can make use of the other method to verify. copy the meta tag into your website source code

I think the only solution is what Mike said. I have this problem when I redirected my website. Only with meta tags I could verify...

if you have a blog, you can use a wordpress plugin to verify.
