When I post a comment on a lot of blogs when I click on submit comment it takes me to a blank page that is white with a web address of the blog on the main part of the original address with other stuff changed on the end. When this happens is my comment posted or not?
Check out the info on this page. It should explain how to fix your problem. And to answer your question, when you get a blank page your comment is not posted, is not awaiting moderation, nor does the blog owner know you even submitted a comment. Good luck...
I went to the Akismet site and I went through the procedure to tell them my IP address, site address, email address... and I wrote a polite note to them telling them I am not able to post comments, I am a real person........ If your comments are not published on some blogs, it is because the owners of those blogs have indicated that they believe your comments and others like them to be spam. Would love some more feedback on this as I am hopeful I didn't follow the instructions, but as you can see Alex Shiels is affiliated with/works for Akismet but appear to be misinformed, or I am. Either way the "white screen" that I am experiencing as are others comes on instantly- or within a second- so the blog owner is either using a screening to weed out some of my terms- sexy, lingerie, panties, sexy costumes..... you get the idea or using a url for a commercial site as mine is or some other filter to prevent some terms. I am seeing these white screens either all or most of the time. I wasn't keeping track as I 'ASSumed" the blog went to a white screen and the comment was being submitted. I was placing comments on a good number of blogs and most all of them did not go through - not all as some came back - discarded- on older blogs. How do I solve this? Or am I going to be unable to post comments on most/all blogs?
Hi, Any updates on this? Are you white-listed now? I think the white screen depends on the settings of the specific blog, but what actually is stopping you is Akismet, you just do not see the white screen on each blog but the same thing happens in the back.
once this happened to me before few weeks and i asked akismet to unblock me, they did it within 1 day.
Well I am happy for you however I am a little bit lost since I have also contacted them but I did not get any answer at all...
