Problem Loading Image Ads

I have problem loading image ads of certain sizes.

    120 X 600; 160 X 600

I am able to upload image ads of other sizes - but not of these two sizes.

    I checked many times - They are GIF images , 120 X 600 Pixels , less than 50 kb.

Still I get the message "Incorrect image layout."

What could I be possibly doing wrong?

I wrote to Adwords support four days back , but havent got any reply till date.

If you try to upload an image of 100k (> allowed 50k) for example you get an error like: "Image too large" or "image too big"

when you try to upload an image with incorrect dimensions 200x200 for example you get something like "incorrect size"

    you're getting a message a different message?:

    "Incorrect image layout."

I think that during upload the system has detected that you are trying to upload image that has graphic text on vertical orientation what is not allowed by editorial guidelines - could this be the case?

Post the denied ad image here so we can help you and learn more.

sachin410 just PM me the image and I had the same:

    "Incorrect image layout."

error message from here - so I take a look in editorial guidelines for image ads:

    https://adwords.google.com/select/imageguidelines.html#Content_standards

and I think that I know what is happening:

The Layout item for Image ad editorial guidelines tells that the image need to get all image space and sachin410's image has a large blank area.

As is the system that is detecting the problem you may need to change graphically your image: I would try to add a twin black frame that your image do not has.

If this is not enough (problem persists) you'll need to fill the blank are with more graphics and text.

But this is what I think that is happening maybe I'm wrong - but it makes sense: take a look into your image and at the editorial guide lines (at the first item of Layout item).

No. I dont think that is the reason.

I wrote to Adwords for the second time - this time I hosted that ad on one of my sites and sent them a link too.

    I got this reply:

Ok . You were right. It was the blank space that was creating problem. Actually I used a gradient (Photoshop) earlier on the image and still it did not work.

    Here is their reply
