    Hi

I recently leased a dedicated server and hosted few domains there and using those POP3 email as well. There is no problems receiving mail from any where (Gmail, aol, POP3 etc ....) but problem is with YAHOO and HOTMAIL only. When I have sent any mail from POP3 account to YAHOO or HOTMAIL recipients don't receive my emails at all. I don't even receive any error message or delivery failed at POP3 account. I have enabled the SPA services.

Is there anyone who can help me to resolve this problem. I used another server before and there was no problem thik this.

    Please come forward ..............

Your not the only one, and it seems to be worse with hotmail.

For several months, if a member signed up on my forum and used a hotmail account - they never receive their activation email. I finally had to disable email activation because hotmail was blocking so many emails.

Pop3 is a post office protocol - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Post_Office_Protocol and uses port 110. It would be impossible to block all POP3, because it would shut all email down.

Chances are your emails do not fit into the guidelines set up by yahoo and hotmail spam filters. Also, your domain might have been put into a black list, the network your server is on might be black listed, and the IP address your using might be black listed.

Check the network range, your ip address and your domain name against the popular black list. Also check to make sure your emails fit into standard guidelines - such as, is there and unsubscribe link in the email? Does the return email address match the senders email address?

It would be difficult to say exactly "what" is causing the problem. There are a number of reasons that could make hotmail and yahoo block your emails. You also might want to check yahoo and hotmail spam guidelines. Surely those are posted somewhere.

Are you sending out spam? The members of yahoo and hotmail could have reported you as a spammer. If that is the point, it wont matter what you do, you will just get reported again and blocked again.

Setup SPF and domainkey for your domain. Probably it will help.

As already said, some black-lists may be causing the trouble. Google for 'blacklisted IP addresses' and check if your IP is there in the lists.

    as hostpenguin says...

certainly with aol and probably yahoo & hotmail to send messages and have them accept you must have a valid ptr (reverse dns) entry for you mail server. That is done through the data center supplying the ip address so contact your host to confirm that is set up
