also go to start/run/ then type msconfig

check for all services that start together with windows and disable those you don't need

Download CCleaner and run+delete everything it finds :)

Then download malwarebyte's scan, and make a full system scan.

After that - reboot your computer and download hijackthis (think trend micro bought it).
Run a system scan and save a log file and post it here (or PM it to me), then I will analyze it.

You will be able to tell if its your browser or your internet line by going on speed test -> http://speedtest.net/ If its your browser just switch to Google Chrome or Mozzila.

I really don't agree with the Browser part. It doesn't matter what browser he is using. It's obviously significantly slow. There's something else going on that is causing this. I agree that it could be a connection speed issue but I doubt that's what this is. I could be wrong, but I doubt it.

It would also depend if your ISP is having an issue at their end, have you tried contacting them? I would rather prefer Chrome to Firefox since Firefox is a tad bit too slow. Try AVG and Spydoctor and scan over your drive. If nothing else works, re-install your OS..
