Hi, I have just launched a website with Microsoft Office Live but cannot get my adsense ads on it. The code I get from adsense is the following (apart from I've changed my publisher number here): <script type="text/javascript"><!-- google_ad_client = "pub-0000000000000000"; google_ad_width = 468; google_ad_height = 60; google_ad_format = "468x60_as_rimg"; google_cpa_choice = "CAAQpMeVyAIaCPQIhLjo3i3GKOj9uosB"; google_ad_channel = ""; //--></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/show_ads.js"> </script> and the page it seems I should add it to is the following (but it has a link to my site included: <a href="http://">http://</a> You will have guessed that I am not technically minded so if you can PLEASE help, could you imagine you're trying to instruct a five-year old.
I would use the Microsoft program to mark spot at which I wanted to insert code. Say insert XXXXXXX where you want code to go. If page is called index.htm open index.htm in Wordpad, highlight XXXXXXX. and paste adsense code in that location. Save as text only, upload to server and check on Adsense placement. It is time to buy an html book and read it.
I tried once more Dear and again and again - but still no luck - I contacted Microsoft and they say it's an incompatability problem. I have another site which I wish to develop - what is as easy as microsoft to build with AND compatible with google?
I have never seen any html code I could not open and edit in wordpad. Do you have a copy of this file on you computer?
I am not sure you can add your AdSense using Microsoft Live.... they barely let you do anything! Just go get free hosting and you will be 1000x better off. OR get cheap hosting, 2.50$/month if its going to be a basic site.
I keep having breakthroughs and realisations and things are going much better with monetisation of the site. I've got an excellent sponsor and affiliate programmes. I still wish I could figure out adding adsense though as it would save much time.
