Problem indexing pages on google.

With my website it is having problems being indexed on google. Its quite an old site (Well, around six months) but only a few pages have been inexed.

Initially when I set the site up it had a forum - I didn't manage or check it - so it got spammed with all the usuals. These pages got indexed with google. When I came back to it I deleted the forum and using my robots.txt disallowed the forum from being searched and requested the indexed spam pages to be deleted. I think this has meant that google now hates my site.

I think this as all my new blog posts, which are all unique, are not being indexed at all!

Has anyone got any ideas how I can get these pages indexed?

(I've got a sitemap by the way and submitted it to google)

    Thanks!

you have to do disaster management now. give it time, add new content, do marketing for new pages. thats the best thing you can do now.

Ok, thanks for your advice! I've been adding new content over the passed few days, and have started to build some good links!

I seams to be working (More pages have been indexed), but I need to just keep it up!

    Thanks again!

You have been doing the right things. Google likes to find stable websites which have solid structures and fixed pages and not like coming and finding some pages blocked or deleted. Just continue maintaining your website, moderating the forum/blog and do not forget links.

Is your website ever got indexed more pages before? I mean fluctuation in indexing. Most of websites I have experiences with, both mine and my friends, do ever experienced with indexed pages fluctuation and go up-down all the times. Is this just a dropped from high indexed pages or never been indexed highly before?

I've got a three year old site where a new page has been added. All the other pages are indexed but the new one still isn't, despite a good few weeks on linking. Have resubmitted the sitemap but that hasn't helped. Strange.

I got a site its been a month now still don't get indexed in google. I have done few process to get my site indexed in google but it doesn't make any changes. My other sites got indexed so fast but only one dont get indexed. I wonder if this has to do with google or my site itself got problem.
