Hello all, I have the website asrecommended.co.uk and it is an old domain, although went through a complete redesign in Dec 07. Due to the competitive market and a lack of content it is having slow progress, but in MSN it is not even in the listings...does anyone have any ideas? Best regards, Misch
It matters more than you think... Being well indexed in MSN is as important as being indexed in Google. It is still a major search engine and likely always will be.
perhaps your claim can be stronger if supported by some statistics? on which search engine is mostly used worldwide that is.
to rank well in msn, make sure keywords are in the titles and u have lots of links MSN is pretty easy - with no SEO I was #1 on MSN for a term that I was >100 on Google
Heheh... i did that too... But the problem is that I don't know how I did it Only domain name was good, almost no SEO been done at all. Never could repeat it yet. I was getting sales for 2 or 3 months from this site, right until MSN reindexed and dropped my site listing from first position
Anyone who thinks MSN isn't a major search engine is someone who doesn't rank for any good terms with them. I have two sites that each get over 2000 visitors a day from MSN. Target "big" terms and you will soon learn their value.
I won't say that MSN is not a good search engine, but a major demographic of online users use google.. so it would be wise to try and build the site for humans rather then the search engine.
i think msn & live have less than 5% of the search market share i dont think much of msn, but it will be fine after sometime. i think its bit slow finding out sites about two weeks back i built a new site which is ranking first for the keyword (and second listing is also an inner page) in google and yahoo but not even in the first page of msn i just aim at google and work.. once its ranking well others will follow
