I'm trying to find out how many pages google has indexed for: http://ff.warcry.com/ when I search for "inurl:ff.warcry.com" I get results, but they're all weird scripts and not the normal pages. however there ARE normal pages cached, as they're showing pagerank and they're in the cache. eg, http://ff.warcry.com/index.php/content/finalfantasyseries/final_v.php is there some better way I can search for the number of pages that're cached by google for this domain?
all of their pages (on the main pages) have the same title (not very optimized), but it allowed me to search for pages indexed like this... allintitle: [title] which gives me this... http://www.google.com/search?q=alli...hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&c2coff=1&safe=off&filter=0 which STILL isn't a full list of pages indexed. what's going on here?
You are doing it right... As far as Google is concerned, the stuff within the scripts directory within that domain IS content. So it really depends on how you want to define "normal pages" and "abnormal pages". If you look at some of them, they don't look like scripts to me, it looks like real content.
wow, you're right. sorry I missed that - I clicked on one and it didn't deliver me anything, so I started looking for normal urls but didn't see any, and assumed it was skipping over the "real" content. I still don't get why a search for "allintitle" isn't returning the right results, though...
You are mixing allintitle with other operators. allin-anything means the whole rest of the query goes with it. Try doing intitle: instead. Not sure exactly what you are trying to search for, but maybe this? http://www.google.com/search?q=site...hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&c2coff=1&safe=off&filter=0
thanks this is the string that ended up getting me what I wanted in case anyone's curious: http://www.google.com/search?q=inti...hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&c2coff=1&safe=off&filter=0
weird, did you edit that in or did I completely miss it the first time around? I swear I didn't see that the first time
