Does anyone know what could be the problem if my accounts don't want to load in Adwords editor? It's happened ever since I upgraded to version 5. But now even when I try to use version 4 it still happens. It downloads partly and then bombs out... It keeps saying "Network Error" and that I must check my internet connection. But I am connected to the internet and I do not connect through a proxy. I have contacted Adwords support a few times but they don't seem to be able to find the problem either. If you have any solutions to this problem ... please help!
Thats weird - dunno what to suggest really. I am using 5.0.0 and have had no problems with it. I take it you have done a complete uninstall and re-install?
yes i have uninstalled it completely and reinstalled it. i even downloaded the installation file again to make sure it wasn't a problem with the file maybe
Its weird that it 'downloads partly' then bombs out. I would normally expect an app like this to work fully or not at all. Not partially. Thats just nuts. What about on another machine? You tried that? And maybe accessing your acct via the Editor from a different location too.
That is the problem with all versions... it shows connectivity problem but mine internet works fine but editor displays no connnectivity... Version 5 has major problem with that.. but sometimes it works fine...
ya i know it is strange that it downloads partly. but when it bombs then you don't end up with anything. i used to get so happy when it goes past halfway cause then i figured it was finally working, but turns out i was wrong i have tried taking my laptop to an internet cafe also and trying to download it there, same problem. aw well, i'll just have to hope version 5.0.1 comes out soon and they fix these little bugs thanks for the replies!
I have exactly the same problem... I can't download anything in bigger accounts... those acc's with 20K keywords, np... But 50K or mine with 70K is a disaster... It used to work well... I used to download the account in like 20 minutes... not sure... now it takes hours to get half of it... then ir drops network error... I thought it's my ISP, but everytihng else works fine... I also just contacted google about it... probably they won't know anything... Also, I had downloaded large account by using proxy of some kind... but after a week it stopped working and now again I have a problem... now no matter what proxies I use, can't get the big accounts... PAIN.
it's a pain hey? jeez its really a hassle for me now to work with such huge accounts in the web version, especially since its impossible to copy and paste stuff! and google support has not been of any help at all
