I am selling digital products and got an echeque payment recently. But receive an error like this... An eCheque payment from [payee name] was declined by the sender's bank. We will automatically try to process this payment again in 3 working days. It then usually takes 3-5 days for the money to be deposited into your account. Please do not post items until you receive payment. Code (markup): But, the download has been sent automatically. Will I actually receive the payment? Can I disallow echeque payment indeed within my paypal account?
Ah it seems you have been stung.... contact the buyer and see if he can check this for you.... Then just wait the 3 days out. Sorry man
I suggest you to wait for 3 another day as paypal said. There is no harm receiving echeck payment but they clearly says that 'do not ship any item before echeck cleared'. In your case you can't do anything as you are selling digital product which download has been sent automatically. DON.
I also got the same message when a client paid me with Paypal eCheque. I got the payment at my account after 3 days.
I got echecks many times. normally, echeck will take 3-5days to clear. It is not a error. Nothing else need to do just waiting
But can you stop accepting them ? I have the same issue .... but the bastard canceled the eCheque instead .... is there a way to stop accepting them ? as that's just another flaw in the system ....
Sounds to me like there are no funds in the buyers BANK account (to cover the echeck payment) OR they have cancelled directly through their bank There is an option in paypal to auto refuse/not accept echeck payments... I don't know where it is off the top of my head but its deffo there. Have a look around the paypal website HTH
Thanks for all replies. As a final update, the echeque has been failed in Paypal's view. The buyer email is actually listed in scam-trap.com, but paypal still accepts the transaction at the first place... Fortunately, the amount is not significant.
May be because of shortage of funds in buyer's account, try to contact buyer and wait couple of days more.
