Yesterday we moved our site to a new host. Everything went fine. We had made backup of all our data and restored it on the new host. The only problem i see now is with the wordpress blog. I can access the blog fine but when i'm trying to login to the admin panel it throws out errors. Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /public_html/blog/wp-config.php:57) in /public_html/blog/wp-login.php on line 202 Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /public_html/blog/wp-config.php:57) in public_html/blog/wp-login.php on line 214 Code (markup): We are using wordpress 2.5 on our site. I'm not sure what's causing these errors but if guys have any idea's how to get rid of these errors plz let me know.
Just 2 links about the move of a WP blog to a new host http://technosailor.com/2007/04/06/wordpress-faq-how-do-i-move-my-blog-to-a-new-host/ http://ocaoimh.ie/2007/04/09/how-i-move-a-wordpress-blog-to-a-new-host/ It may help some people
In my case it loads the blog and all the posts fine but the only problem is getting into admin panel.
Is it possible there are some spaces/line breaks where they should not be? http://faq.wordpress.net/view.php?p=7 http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&...+header+information+-+headers+already+sent+by I hope one of these links gets you on the right track... Good luck
i don't think there is an changes to the files coz its transfered exactly how it was. Maybe some plugin problem. I'll check it once i get back home.
What the latest plugin that you installed? Maybe you haven't set the permissions right in case you are using wp cache (changin hosts apparently deletes cache settings). So delete that, change the wp config. Try again.
Also you should update to 2.5.1 immediately as this also might be an issue with the old version. (sorry had to re post cause I'm talkin from the phone and opera mini wont let me edit posts )
Some of the posts I saw regarding this noted transferring hosts is what caused the extra spaces at the beginning and end of a file.
