Recently I messed up my blog deleting some posts.I was clearly unaware of the fact that it will become crawler errors in webmaster tools. So I redirected those 404 pages to homepage.

Still after 4 days its showing 404 errors.what to do know? How to delete cache completely in webmaster tools ?

404 error indicate that server can`t find your requesting page.

If you are trying for some keywords that don't attract much traffic then you cannot be certain that this is the sandbox or not. If the keywords that you wanna rank for are highly competitive and if you used to rank well this means that you are now showing nowhere in the search results. Maybe this is the sandbix. All new sites get an initial boost of traffic when they are launched, they then fall victim to Google dance where their ranking goes up and down. The owners panic and use means that sort of bend Google's guidelines. This is the point when they land in the Sandbox and the traffic disappears. Check also if this is a de-indexing problem or not?

Don't worry Once google bot find that page not exit. it removes from index. However you can also implement robots.txt for the deleting page. Also Go in to Webmaster tool and delete the page which you want to remove from its index. Check out the HTML errors.
