hey, i was looking for some drivers of my recently formated laptop, and i found this site: http://www.sony-drivers.com/sony-dr...grade-3.0.02.05090a-for-WindowsXP_71780.shtml look at the place where you download the driver.... yes, they are adsense ads! i dont know if that placement is allowed, but it seems like the download link! but, he could improve his earnings how? the ads showed on the download driver link are the second ones loaded. if he moves his square ad box to the bottom, the download driver ads would be more profitable. this tip might help you, if you have a high ctr ad. what do you think? it is against the TOS? i just wanted to share this to you guys...
That is totally against TOS, unless Google has changed policy recently. They're misrepresenting an advertisement as a download, which is a no-no. I do like the red links in the upper left...those are very clickable. I wonder what kind of $$ he's making. If google catches it, that site will be done for. Funny thing about that site..I don't think you can even download legitimate drivers..everything is an adsense link that will take you to god knows where.
Pictures beside adsense should have a border. Although they may look at buttons and pictures differently. The green button links to a page with an adsense box and another green button. The second green button is "A" download. Not sure if it's the right download. I think the first page is in the gray area and the second page with nothing on it but adsense is against the TOS. But who really knows?
WOW downloads marked with a picture and then placed a good ad just below that. Great stuff whoever that idiot time.
YUP ..definitely not TOS acceptable. He might be able to get away with it still if he places a border on the adsense. But the "download form" still draws misrepresented attention to the ad.
Crazy.. I tested it and actually if you click the green pic itll take you to another page with ads.. then if you click the green pic on that 2nd page you finally do get your download lol Personaly i wouldnt tell on them myself im sure some one else will anyway but its very sneaky indeed
I believe this would be "significant risk" to advertisers. As its misleading and would be bad clicks for the advertiser. So probably not allowed!
Don't forget the trademark violation in the domain name...if Sony catches him first, AdSense will be the least of his worries.
Yes sure this is trademark violation and also against the Adsense TOS also. This guy should be reported for misleading the users to click on the ads.
the second page gets to the correct driver. anyway, its clear that this placement is against the TOS. he should have a 30% or more cTR and google will catch him soon or later.....
Very clever placement. I guess he must be getting a lot of clicks. I am sure Google would NOT like this ad placement as it is deceiving.
