Has anyone been in contact with GeorgeB?

I paid for this weeks ago and he was supposed to install it for me. There was a problem and he installed a pirated version of VB on my server. When I asked him what the deal was he claimed it was the files he had gotten when he bought it. Fine. I asked him to reinstall the legit license I bought and he said ok. That is the last I heard from him and he has been ignoring my pms for the past week+.

I would expect more from a long term somewhat respected member but so far I am pretty disappointed that I paid weeks ago only to get a pirated version of vb installed on my server with no follow up.

George, I know you are on. I see you on multiple forums every day but yet you ignore my pms. I can understand if you don't have time to install but at least reply letting me know or something. Otherwise we get to this point where I think I have been scammed because you installed pirated software on my server and now won't reply. I told you that all the legit files that I since bought are on the server but you haven't followed up.

I'm pretty pissed that I need to make a post like this asking for help. George, you are one of the last I would expect this crap from.

Wouldn't expect it from George. Have you tried contacting him on MSN? He's usually online.

 

I wouldn't expect it from him either. I know him from a couple large forums where he is active and respected but have been surprised over and over so far. He was supposed to reinstall the owned license I got because his copy that was using his leased license turned out to be pirated (supposedly from the guy he bought it from though). So last I heard he was going to install it and just move over the database on the owned license I got. He has been avoiding my pms since even though he has been online here and other places multiple times since.

Been a couple more weeks and still no action from GeorgeB. He seems to flat out ignore pm after pm now on multiple boards that I know he is active on.

Sadly I thought buying from a longer term member with rep would be safer and easier than buying from a noob or something. Instead it seems being longer term he has become arrogant and feels he can do what he wishes and it won't affect him what I say, which may be true since some scammers seem to get away with things here. I've gotten better service and had sellers follow through better that were selling me cheap $10 sites but can't get George to follow through with this that I paid over a month ago.


I paid over a month ago and all I have to show for it at this point is the domain and a pirated VB on my server that George installed. He tried to claim that he must have gotten the pirated vb from the previous seller but has done nothing to correct it at all. I have an owned license of vb that I bought a month ago for this site to replace Georges pirated version and he refuses to follow through and install it and all the mods as he said he would when agreeing to the sale.

So is that a scam? Sending the domain then half installing what was promised using a pirated software and then not replying to pms or following through with what was said?

I'm curious what others think of the situation and see if I am just overreacting or justified being pissed the hell off. Any suggestions?

Anyone else been screwed over by Georgeb like this or am I the only lucky one?
