I've used them quite a bit.
I'm aware that you have to have a good amount of traffic to your release within 24 hours to make it into their top list.

I've actually gotten a substantial amount of traffic consistently, and even beat out other stories,
but I've never made top for the day despite that-- has anyone else?
I would love to talk over PM/have you post here with your experiences. :)

    I can't thank you enough! Rep+

EDIT: Seems like your approved press releases are of poor quality. If you want your news source to be taken seriously, I would start denying less-quality submissions.
I went ahead and submitted mine-- can you add fields for contact information? Kind of like PRLog.org.

I approved your release and as you can see its ranking No.1 in Google News

At the moment the main priority for the site is unique content to gain traffic, which yesterday brought in just over 10'000 unique hits

as the site grows the content will improve as more stringent submission rules are brought in.

We are looking at adding contact fields into the submission forms, however you can simply include that info at the end of your posts.
