    Hello,

I have a website about X. I just created a blog about X that has a different C-Class IP and it is registered privately. The main purpose of the blog is to create backlinks for website X. Will I be okay and not get dinged by Google?

I do the same thing. I interlink my websites though. Its a myth that you will be penitlized for interlinking or the same ip, etc.

I only interlink about 30 sites all with 3 way link exchanges. But it seems that its better to put my effort into other link building ways.

Lots and lots of myths around, unless your interlinking on a massive obvious scale i cant see any problems.

It will be more then one backlink though. There will be a backlink created with every post.

Awesome someone finally said it. I thought everyone here thought same ip#'s don't have as much juice. That was the case 10 years ago when there were plenty of ip#'s, but now that they've run out of new ip#'s, so there is less of a problem.

Big myth. You have to think about all those shared hosting. It dosent matter what the IP is. Domain registration dosent either, because I think google can still see the whois since they are a domain seller.
