Do you have a privacy policy? Is it worth it? I have a few of these privacy policy generators saved in my bookmarks, but I am afraid I put something not true on there and then that would put me in more trouble then if I never had one to begin with.

So is it worth having a privacy policy or should I forget about it all together?

If you keep personal data, you'd better have one.

I try and remember to post my privacy policy on all my sites. I usually keep it real simple, by stating that I value the privacy of all my visitors, do not do cookies, do not keep mailing lists, and will never spam. Period.

I know my privacy is not valued if I visit a site that has a privacy policy 3000 words long and requires full-blown legal analysis to figure out what they are saying.
