I am only 10 days past the deadline, but I finally finished updating all of my privacy policy links and pages. I have a bunch of domains, sub domains, sub folders, blogs and special sections that had to be modified. And I admit there were some websites that I had not gotten around to adding a privacy policy to since the previous google notice back in early 2008. But this time I was good, and systematically checked every site and all its sub parts and I believe I have gotten the update all done. And I got some other good work accomplished along the way. Deleted dead links and updated others. Removed unproductive pages and sites. Deleted some corrupted files that I discovered. And I noticed a lot of little errors for which I have made notes and will get corrected soon... Finally, I closed a hosting site and moved the associated websites to another host I have - something I had been thinking about for months - This action will save me $12.95/month. (I know, it was way overpriced.) While I hated doing this updating work - beyond keeping me in Google's good graces I actually got a lot of good things, maintenance and upkeep-wise, accomplished. ( I found some blogs I had forgotten about, for example...). So while I do not look forward to the next time Google needs us to update the Privacy Policy - it probably will be a good thing for my websites in general.
congratulations! it msut be blood and sweat. I did one for a client and it took me so long because of the sheer volume of the pages that are not link together. shelly77
Congrats on the accomplishment! I'm not far behind you and need to do this on almost 200 sites. No doubt I'll take care of tons of updates and corrections along the way as well.
