Should the Privacy Policy link on same domain or it could be on any domain. like if i make a Privacy Policy in xyz.com/policy.html domain then link to it from all my sites. Will it be ok???

    Thank you.

It should be on same domain. If you want to centralise privacy policy management do it using a php include.

That is what I do - one privacy policy that I link to from all of my sites.

Yes, it seems a fair way of doing it.

There is a flaw I can see in doing that, which is if you link to another domain then the privacy policy then only applies to that domain unless there is a reference to the URL ( which there can't be if you're linking to the same policy from multiple domains ). It's like having a privacy policy for amazon linking to ebay - I mean, it just doesn't have relevance once the domain privacy link routes to a different URL.

The best way I know of doing it is to centralise updates with a php include. That way you can update one file and it will automatically update privacy policies on all sites.

Thank you everyone. But it seems its safe to have privacy policy on each domain for our own sake. pain in the ass. :)

That's right! it should be on every domain. If you link it form another site, it would not make sense as it would be only apply for that particular domain.
