Privacy Policy.. is it a must for SEO?

    For SEO, do I have to make the Privacy Policy page?
    Though I'm not collecting any information.

    What about Contact us and About us?

    Privacy ploicy is not must for SEO.But its a must for sites doing google adsense as per their latest terms of conditions

    Its got nothing to do with SEO, its basically a requirement so that visitors and site users have access to understanding any information that is collected during their visit.

    It keeps adsense safe, it keeps us safe, it keeps the site users informed if they want to read it.

    No, the privacy policy has nothing to do with Seo , you need it only to be safe and inform your visitors about how you use the informations you colect ( the stats , for example )

    It is rumoured that having a Privacy Policy helps Google beleive that you have a genuine website that respects user privacy. Whether that is true or not I don't know - but you may as well have it since it only takes 5 minutes to put one up.

    Even if you don't collect emails or whatever - your stats program will collect data and if you have a contact form you will also collect data - so a privacy policy should be used.

    Easy enough to get a free standard one and modify it.

    Okay, i was confused for a minute, wondering how it would have anything to do with seo. i'd guess 95% of privacy policies are simply copied and pasted.

    It's only important in SEO if your keywords are "privacy policies". If you need to rank high for that term you should start a comprehensive plan to be # 1.
