Privacy , i how do i change the domain names to show as private indiviual on whois.

Newbie question I'm building up my domain name portfolio and i'm concerned that my name and home address is displayed on the whois details for .co.uk and .coms.

I would like these not to show on whois or perhaps should i open a p.o box , i think in the long run it maybe the best thing.

But how do i ? or can i ? set my current domain names to not show my details and if so , how long does it take?

if i do open a p.o box for my address , how easy is it to change all my current domain name reg details to show the new P.O box address?

Also i use godaddy and 123reg , is it easy to update the account details so that all new reg's and transfered domain names to my accounts will show the new address?

    thanks for the advice...

Not familiar with 123 but just look for the WhoIs Guard option.

    GoDaddy:

My Domain Names > Select the domain > Whois Type > (Upgrade) > Add Private Registration > Continue

Thank you for your reply , the only thing is the cost 6.99 a year ? i think i might open the p.o box for the year as i will be adding new domains every week , any idea how to alter the whois data for when i have my p.o box address?

    thank you.

NameCheap offers free WhoisGuard for a year when you register a new domain name.
