Good!! I'm glad they passed that. There are alot of sickos out there.

Henny, asking why they don't sue the search engines from filtering out the porn sites is like asking why don't they sue gun makers for every fatal shooting. Both are protected rights (1st and 2nd Rights), it's just the stupid people who ruin it.

agree! they should be hunting down those porn sites filled with spywares, malwares and trojans under the guise of titillating adwares and popups, before they go into the next level of metas... and err, what for? SEs has a choice of not indexing those who abuse the meta tags if they want to. i think it should the SEs who must be given such sanction? :D :p

In order to go after stuff like spyware, malware, etc, the government would have to understand what those things are. They're apparantly just figuring out what meta tags are. Only a decade behind the times, isn't that bad actually for our government.

    Hello....

This law was passed in the federal system, it is ment to protect children and punish those who abuse "domain names" that entice you to click on the link by deception. I didnt read this article to deep because i had seen it on webpronews.

I believe first time offenders are mandatory 3 years in prison.
Which isnt bad for the feds, seeing that most perpetraters commiting any fed crimes do not get less in the 5 years. (yes they are draconian)

I believe that we need to protect our children forthwith,BUT at the same time our federal goverment has just slowly inched itself into the internet. It wont be long before they take More control and we all pay in the end as they strip us of more rights and freedoms.
"If you thought they screwed up the hurricane relief could you imagine what the internet would be like after they get their way".

This is my opinion and nothing more take it for what its worth.

    Thanks
    malcolm
