    Hello all,

DP bans a member when he/she does not stick to the TOS of dp. banning does not matter. But let me explain my situation.

I am a forum poster and write articles on request. I get my payout regularly. But at times, some of the clients get banned in dp before they pay me. I would have send my articles completely but at the time of payment, they would have been banned here. So i will not hear any more mails from them. This has been a huge problem for me.

Last october i had to lose about 230$ after delivering a huge set of articles. And on similar occassion, i lost about another 25$.

Recently also, i delivered some articles worth 18$ to a guy. I am awaiting my payout for the past 15 days. And last week i delivered 5 articles worth 9$ to another guy. (Am not displaying their username bcoz am afraid on getting an infraction or a ban for me from dp. If it is not a problem, am ready to reveal their details. ) But i could see that at the time of my payout, he was banned. Now how will i get my money? See all the amount are so huge.

I feel like if dp mods have decided to ban a guy, let them display this information prior so that other guys would be aware of this and will not render any service to them. The problem lies in banning them all of a sudden.

So is there any way to get my payout or for these kind of problems. I have just tried to explain my state here and kindly understand that i am not against the tos of dp or against dp. So let the conversation be a healthy one and an eye opener.

Why not you use the alternative form of contact like email to provide your service.

I mean if are you delivering something you can contact them at Paypal Address or something because giving a warning would be a headache for the mods as well.

Ya i can understand the problem of the mods here. But you know. I can contact them only through their email address for which they will never bother to reply me via email. I will not be able to hook them. There have been times where i open my gmail account and simply stare at the inbox hoping to receive emails from those guys. But this will not happen.

And how can i hook them by their paypal address? What is the connection that i can do with their paypal address? No way i can do that. Like one thing can be done here. Even i have been banned twice. But that was for a week. A temporary ban. so i know that i would be coming back after a week. But how do others know about it?

So the circumstances under which they were banned can be displayed. So if the guy is banned for a week, guys like me can wait patiently for another one week hoping he would pay. Can this be done?

Whether a member is banned or not, he is still entitled to his privacy. I don't think your suggestion is appropriate.

And I'm not sure what you mean by "prior." We don't know someone will be banned until we ban them. And we certainly aren't going to trace down any deal threads they might happen to be participating in and then go back to ban them. That would be ridiculous.

It's your responsibility to get the email address, phone number, or other contact info from anyone you're doing business with as soon as you begin a deal. If you don't bother to conduct business responsibly, that's really not our problem, and we're not going to let rule-violating members stick around a bit longer just to compensate for that. There's no better chance that they'd respond to a PM than an email. If you have that, use it.

As wisdomtool said, there's no chance ban reasons are going to be displayed or given to anyone else.
