I have the latest trial version of optigold installed on win2k and have a few questions which I have not been able to resolve over the past few days of going through the users guide and searching through this forum: 1. I have manually generated an invoice but I can not “print†or “email†just preview or export the invoice, is this because I do not have the free key install … I’m currently waiting on Digital Point to email me one, requested yesterday (Under Navion) – or is this related to some other configuration issue? 2. Need to defined a product/s who’s unit “price†requires 3 or 4 decimal palaces e.g. 0.1275. This can be done, however when I preview the invoice its rounds off the unit price to 2 decimal palaces i.e. 0.13, but the calculations are correct using 0.1275 . Is this just an issues with the preview, will it actually print the unit price as 0.1275, when I get invoice printing working? thanks Joe
1. No, you should be able to email and print. Do you get an error? 2. The 4 decimal places are used for calculations, but it's truncated after 2 decimal places on the invoices.
1. There is no error when I try to print an invoice job just sits in the printer queue, however general printing from within optigold seems to be ok…also tried printing invoice to my tif printer driver and that was ok……Just did a quick search and it seems that there is a history of optigold printing issues using Bother printers….will dig further. 2. I’m looking at using optigold to bill for fax traffic, per page billing. I have defined different tariffs ( in products) based on volume thresholds as “one time itemsâ€. Although 4 decimal places is used by optigold to do calculations, the truncation to 2 decimal places in the invoice will alarm/confuse my customers ( at least initially until they realise the calculations where done using 4 decimal places )....are there any other options to get around this?
