Note: This topic is actually related to Business. However, since it is related to SEO & SEM, I thought this is the best place to attract attention of the SEO & SEM experts who are already in the business. I have recently changed my role as "In-house SEM" to "Client-based Service Provider for SEM". As an in-house expert, I have never dealt with the pricing strategy for services. Can any one help me in developing specific pricing strategy for these services: Keyword Research & Analysis for Pay Per Click (PPC), Keyword Research & Analysis for Web-copy & Blogs, SEO Copy-editing, SEO Copywriting, Site-end Optimizing for SEO (Site-maps, Robots, Mod Rewriting, Web Analytics Installations, etc.), Corporate Blogging, and Inbound Link Building, I can offer 5 different prices for the above services: Cost-based Pricing: I can charge against the Time & Resources consumed by me to get the job done. e.g. $20/hour. Value-based Pricing: I can charge against the value the client is getting. e.g. $7/page. Flat Rate: I can charge custom flat rate for custom project. e.g. $300 for the whole project. Flat Rate with Incremental Rate: I can charge one-time Flat Rate and also keep a provision for additional hours or page. e.g. $300 for the whole project and $20/hour for additional hour or $7/page for additional page. Budget-based Service: Or I can do it the other way. I can get the information about monthly, quarterly, and annual budget of the client and offer the client the services based on priority. Please advise me which pricing strategy will be appropriate for me. I know that the pricing strategy may vary in the Services listed above and the level of expertise in clients as well. I would also appreciate your price for specific services listed above.
