Pricing for backlinks to my content

As a content writer, I am often requested to build links to my work by my clients. Some request blog posting, forums, social media or article databases. I charge 0.05 US cents per word for articles and I take into consideration aspects such as keyword volume and CPC for this price. Given my current rate, what should I be charging for building links to my articles on the client's website?

The rates that I have requested for backlinks was met with a lot of negotiation by all the clients that requested this additional service.

    I usually charge them :
$0.50 for a comment on a blog that is not well ranked.
$1.00 for comments on well ranked blogs.
$3.00 for 300 to 400 word articles on article databases with a back link to the client's site.

I always ensure than any comments I make are relevant to the blog's content and is interesting to read. Furthermore, I guarantee the client that if the link is removed, I will post another link at no charge within 30 days of the original post.

I felt that this was reasonable but now I am questioning my rates. If it is not a feasible service, I would just stick with content writing.

    Thanks in advance.
