Pricing a text link ad

I have a request for a one year text link advertisement on my sports oriented website from a sportsbook. In the past thirty days, this site has received 850K pageviews from 12K unique visitors. Currently I run three Google Adsense graphic ads and three Project Wonderful ads on each page.

    Two questions:

    1. What should I ask for the ad?
    2. Will a sportsbook ad be a conflict with my Google Adsense or Project Wonderful ads (since online gambling is not legal in the US)?

It depends on where your site is hosted and if someone lodge a report on your website.

    Not many will do that.

If it is illegal in US, I suggest you to get a hosting and domain services outside US.

Usually, adsense will show up related ads (analyze the keywords in the page).
Project Wonderful ads doesn't work that way.

I am considering pulling my Adsense off this page (since I don't want to jeopardize my account) and pricing the text link to more than recoup my Adsense revenues. I would be interested in ideas on what price to ask a sportsbook for a prominently placed text link ad. They would be the only text link on the page.

My opinion: Start out high and let them make a reverse offer.
