I'm just about to start offering Wordpress Content Management System web designs - up til now I've coded in Expression. If you - for example - charge £300 for a 3 page non-CMS website, would you charge more, less or the same for the SAME design in Wordpress but with CMS functionality? (Obviously quality of the website part-determines price - so assume same quality). Would be interested in your experience.
I would charge more – people are impressed, even by quasi-CMS like WordPress, and are willing to pay more for it. If you're charging £300 for a non-CMS, I'd say £500 for a Wordpress would be reasonable.
I would also recommend charging more. You are giving them the ability to make changes to the website on their own, which saves them money by not having to hire someone to make those changes. It also takes more time and a higher experience level to code and customize a CMS template then a basic html/css design.
I have a wordpress website and I paid around $500 to a web designer for the design. It is worth. I also got an option of $100, $150, $200 etc.. But the one I got for $500 was the best.
