I dont want to sell, but at the moment I am looking at my options as I am considering moving and that costs money, so interested to see what price is attached to my baby.

Anyway I have recently moved to hostgator VPS and havent sorted out AWstats as of yet. So I havent got the traffic stats for Feb and the pages in google took a hit as the site was down for 1 week and a half. So traffic also took a hit. Pages went down to 13000, but have now gone back up to 14400 so google are happy that its back and back to stay.

The site is pretty self explainitory. Its a price comparison site.

Behind the scenes you have an admin panel which you can add data feeds. I do this from affiliate window, simply copy and paste a code from your affiliate and paste it into the admin panel. That then uploads the data and you have products on your site.

I have uploaded about 600,000 products. So thats 600,000 products that potentially will be indexed and 600,000 products in google.

The data you upload can be refreshed by the click of a button. As your new affiliates sell new products you can include them without adding again, just refresh. Very easy stuff.

I will provide a step by step guide on how to add products. One thing I havent tried yet is putting adsense on the site, that could potentially bring in quite a bit of income if its on every page, but I have no idea how to do this.

You can edit the home page in the admin panel to put adsense there and also create new pages like contact us, about, etc.

You can also add search tags, news, categories etc. This all helps with seo, but I admit I have been a bit lazy. I have however submitted the site to about 400 directorys of late, most of which havent been indexed yet, so the site will get some pagerank.

I think the more the pages get indexed in google, the more people with visit and this site will eventually earn quite a bit of cash, at the moment in time it needs someone a bit more dedicated than me.

The domain name will help with your seo as it has the exact words "price comparison" in it

Price Comparison is searched 673,000 times per month.
Compare prices is searched 1,000,000 times per month

So you can see the potential with a bit of work on seo.

Winner will be able to just take my VPS which costs $50, or moved to their hosting. I will provide zip of files, database, login details etc by email. Will also push domain through name.com for free.

I was just wondering where does the traffic mainly come from? is it all through search engines or other places?

Also where, geographically, does the traffic come from?

Traffic comes from Britain and the US. Currency can be changed by the way if you wanted to target a different country.

Traffic mainly comes from type ins and from google. With the amount of products indexed, if someones searching for something specific they land on the site.

 

Could you PM the stats to me please? Traffic rates etc. What products does the price comparison site offer to users? Is it insurance for example?

Not as of yet, but as more pages get indexed more chance of making cash, plus you could always add adsense which I havent done yet.
