Price of custom template?

I'm thinking of buying a custom made template. I've pretty much planned out what it would look like and it would be very simple. Can anyone give me the general rates here for a custom template like that? Anyone you guys would recommend for the job? Any info/help would be appreciated xD

it definitely depends on what you're asking for, usually custom quality templates go for around 100+.

Anything from a few dollars to $5000+ depending on exactly what you want in terms of services from the designer and where they are from

I am a student and always looking to work and at cheap rates too, if you need a template I think I could possibly help you out if you know what you want.

You alway get what you pay.
Someone can make it for $15.
Someone will not do design for less than few thousands.
But anyway you can't get really professional design for low price.

Thanks guys! I guess the price pay probably reflects how good the product you get is. I've already hired someone to do the template though! Thanks for all the help+advice! =)

It doesnt only reflect how good the product is but other aspects such as how popular they are as designers, cost of living in their country, their overheads etc.

With the general thinking of a lot of people being along the lines of "you get what you pay for" there are some designers who have little skill/ knowledge but charge a high price to make people assume that they are good.

All it reflects is how much money people want. I've charged from $40 to $800, my usual 'face to face' fee is around $400 but on DP it's more like $100 .

Agree with you. if you work on it one week you gotta get a bigger payoff. If it's a simple custom site, let's say, two days of work, it will be less... maybe u can get it from $100.

Good, i'm glad someone else see's it that way too. In any Business you want to make money. Making a smaller sum is much better than than making nothing and that's why I lower my fees sometimes.
