OK, for example I pull down information from Commission Junction for the product Fender G-Dec Junior Guitar Mini Amplifier and the price they supply me is there is no saleprice, no retailprice and the price is listed at $129.99 USD. When I click through the link, it takes me here: http://www.americanmusical.com/Item...iliatecj&utm_medium=feed&src=A0807AFLHAMS0000 where the price is listed at $149.99 USD. Whether or not my prices are up to date, I still have the problem of the discrepancy even if it is for a short window of time. What do you guys to do to protect yourself against false adversiting? A disclaimer doesn't help unpiss-off a customer that can't get a product for the price they want. Is there a good solution for this?
I see it all the time. Many of the large shopping comparison services do this. The only time I advertise price is when a javascript code pulls the price in automatically. When it's not your company you really can't control what happens.
