I need a better logo for whichischeaper.com, a price comparison site that has just launched. I'd like for the logo to be 2.0ish but still go with the general color scheme of the site, however, I would be willing to adjust the current colors for the right design. Please post responses here and I will choose a winner by Friday June 15th @ 7pm Eastern Time. Winner will be paid $30 via paypal.
Two nice entries, thank you. James1988 - I like the watermark in the background but sort of think the font needs a little more, it's sort of plain (like the one I made). I'd like to see it with glossier lettering. onixz100 - I also like the watermark in yours but not the scale so much. Also, see if you can spice up the font a bit. Thank you both, I look forward to seeing your work again.
I could remove the scale, but I put it there to resemble comparison. I still have the .psd so it's all good, but I am not sure how it would look without the scale. Along with this, I don't know what type of font would make the banner better without destroying the general feel of the website. Making it 2.0, glossy or sci-fi'ish would destroy the feel of your website since your website is more of a professional and elegant look. Making 2.0 type of banners at the type would remove the sense of "professionalism". That's my opinion. If you want me to remove it but keep it generally the same, just tell me ^^
i agree with onixz100, making a 2.0ish logo with your site would take it out of style because your site isnt 2.0
Fair enough, I appreciate the comments. I thought that I could pull something off but I just slapped up a glossy logo and you guys were right, it takes away more than it gives. onyxz100 - keep the scale, lose the slogan "find the best deals" and let me go from there. everyone else - please ignore my comments on a glossy logo
xpressions - i like the second concept, any way to make it fit with the color scheme. Maybe use a brown similar to the nav bar instead of the red.
armour - i like where you are going with this but it just seems a bit too much brown/yellow. Is it possible to see something like this with a bluish header?
Hey MikeBrad, Here is the picture without the slogan. I personally found the slogan bad too, I just thought you really required one. There are several subtle changes Hopefully you noticed them. I made the writing a bit more elegant and made it so the background wouldn't be so boring on the right side.
mac crazy - not exactly what I'm looking for onixz100 - I totally agree with you and I liked the "Browse, Compare, Save" slogan, I just wanted you to get rid of the "find the best deals" slogan and vertically center the word "cheaper". AddictedtoFate - looks good, may offer more feedback in the morning.
