Just wondering: How much would a forum, with over 4000 members, 40000 posts, 250000+ impressions/month, around 50000 uniques/month, and makes about $300-350 total profits per month be?

I might consider selling the above forum, but I would just like a general idea of how much it's worth. I'm thinking in the $xxxx's, but I'm not totally sure.

    Thanks for any suggestions.

I dunno that it's acurate, but I've often heard 10-17 times the monthly rev. I've also heard that this is for a brick and mortar business, and doens't really relate to online business...

Without knowing a bit more about where your traffic is coming from, how long you've been generating this level of revenue, how many users are actually active etc etc... I would say that your estimate of around high $xxx to low $xxxx sounds reasonable.

If you've been making $300+ for several months then you are leaning towards the low-mid $xxxx's, but it really does depend on traffic, stability of revenue, establishment of site and so forth.

Computerized, you know I've actually wondered myself sometimes that SAME question with regards to MY forum ;)

Rather than HiJack your nice post I'll create my own, thanks for giving me the idea.

Depends entirely what the traffic is like. If it's a spam forum mostly visited by 13 year olds and consists mostly of "Person above you" and "count to 1 million" threads, then it won't be worth a lot. If the forum is about creation of electronic circuits or something like that you can get tens of thousands for it. So there's absolutely no way to tell unless you actually give the URL.

The URL is currently not working at the moment - I'm facing some hosting problems, which is the reason why I did not post it in my first post.

The forum is about the MMORPG Silkroad Online (in my sig). Most of the traffic comes from advertising on the official site forums and Google, and maybe a little comes from advertising in game. I don't have exact traffic stats because my previous host did not offer that option, so only recently did I start using StatCounter, so I cannot give you exact details. However, based on previous months, I do get from 250-350 thousand impressions a month. It depends, however, because sometimes the game is offline, and then players come to the forums to chat, which makes it more active than other times.

I've been making about $300 with advertising companies, such as Adsense, CPA, Kontera, etc. and another $50-100 comes from other games companies, such as gold-selling companies advertising with us.

That's all the details I can give right now, because the host is not working.

You are correct. The host is not working. Adviseable to change host immediately.
