Hi, Anyone heard of / used previewseek at http://beta.previewseek.com/ They claim to be "the most advanced search engine" and better than google. Check out their about us page. Comments? Ajay.
They look good but how the hell could they compete against google. Google will beat anything that comes along because they have more money. Google is simple thats why i like it.
I have to say I am very impressed with the idea behind it at least and the results do look good for some of the searches.. I just wonder how their "AI" based search will handle some of the "stranger" search queries. Certainly an interesting little engine though
It looks like their results are actually other search engine results. Do a search on anything you wish then in the results click on “Archived†You will see the archive is from another search engines cache. All I checked were MSN but I only checked a few.
You bet we can! Google have lots of money??? The more you are worth the more you owe to your Shareholders. Don't be fooled into thinking that Google are the be all and end all as David did to Goliath what others will sooner or later do to Google. Our own results at Cantufind.com are better than Google and they know it, they tried to block us for the past six months. We use Chinese writers and have family in China so we are already ahead of the game as Google and MSN are fighting to get their foot in the door. The moral of this answer to your quote and this thread is that Google are only the best because they make you think they are! They are as out of date as my hairstyle! I give the example of Cantufind.com and The Orange Pages as now being seperate entities yet thier results showed Cantufind.com still being described as The Orange Pages. Something tells me they are using someone else's cache? Just a thought!
