Preventing Spam - Wordpress Blogs

    I'd like to be able to still get the real genuine comments without all the automated spam. Is this possible? If so, how do you do it?

    akismet is a good start.

    I've had a few false positives with it but not many.

    Use Akismet.I think this plugin is built in wordpress,go to the "PLUGINS" page and active it.

    Spam Karma is a great plugin and I've only been using it a short while. One of my blogs is quite heavily targetted by spam bots, and it handles it all for me.

    Akismet was doing the job just fine then the spammers found a new way in. Bad Behaviour has sorted them out. Only installed it yesterday but it's already blocked 2968 attempts. Legit comments have been made with no problems.

    I tried Bad Behavior, but it was blocking me from my own admin pages.
