I'm aware of popular preventing right click on pages. I know also that an advancer users can find a way to get what they want and here is where my question comes across. Most javascript tricks work for IE but there are features in Firefox that override such methods and even pluglins to see where an image is located and so on. Does this mean that Firefox has become popular for being a thieving tool? Is there any script to stop Firefox burglary agents stealing your images and content? I can stop newbies using IE for most common stealing practices, but I don't see how to stop noobs or advaced FF users. Any coding for this is welcome
There is no way at all to stop people from saving your site. A person sees your site because it downloads to their computer. It has to download for them to see it. If it is downloaded to their computer they can therefore save it. Disabling right click is just a waste of time, you will annoy people like me who use right click not to save images but to go back etc. It doesnt stop the save as, it doesnt stop a screen print, it doesnt remove it from the cache and the script itself is disabled by turning javascript off. The only way to stop people taking content is by not putting it on the net. FireFox's proliferation is nothing to do with "stealing" If you are concerned about people taking images etc then stick a watermark on them eg http://static-p2.fotolia.com/photos_mini/2007-14/400_F_2868300_xl9t35y9ACVoyMtqaBwXvWPekUNcMF.jpg
