    Hi,

I am completely new to forums. But I have managed to install mine and get it kind of ready.

How do I prevent "Guests" I only want registered users to be able post on the forum?

    My forum

    Thanks

AdminCP >> Usergroups >> Usergroup Manager >> Unregistered / Not Logged In >> Post / Thread Permissions >> Select "No" as needed.

I am unable to login to my admin panel right now, simply due to my location, so I can't help you for certain, but it should be under general admin permissions. By going to advanced mode you can choose posting for 'reg', which is registered users.

I'll update in a few hours with exact instructions if it hasn't been done yet. ;)

In your Admin Panel find the "Forum Admin" section and click Permissions

There, select one of the forums you'd like to keep guests from posting in.

Change that setting to 'Registered'. If this isn't an option, you're probably in Advanced Mode and need to click "Simple Mode" first. Let me know if you're still confused.
